About this opportunity

Galveston County is soliciting qualifications from licensed professional engineering firms to provide construction phase engineering services for the Moses Lake Tide Gate Repairs. The selected firm(s) will support Galveston County in administering a construction contract for the repairs of the Moses Lake Tide Gate based on the issued for Construction Documents prepared by the engineering firm WIss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc, and submitted in October 2025. The selected firm(s) may provide professional engineering services for project implementation, as further described in the Deliverables and Scope section of this RFQ. The County intends to award contracts with one or more qualified engineering firms. Contracts will be awarded based on demonstrated competence and qualifications, followed by negotiation of a fair and reasonable price consistent with 2 CFR § 200.324. This procurement and any resulting contract shall comply with: • 2 CFR § 200.318 - 200.327 • 24 CFR § 570.489 • Appendix II to 2 CFR Part 200 (Required Contract Provisions) • Texas Government Code Chapter 171
